Complete Storyline and information about WandaVision

Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is still mourning the loss of her beloved Vision (Paul Bettany) after the events of Avengers 4: Endgame. One day, she suddenly finds herself in a new reality, in the idyllic small town of Westview, where she lives a seemingly perfect life with Vision, complete with home and white picket fence.

Did she create this world herself? How can the dead Vision be alive again? And how much control does Wanda really have over the world of Westview? Again and again, her surroundings change in the style of various sitcom decades, and the feeling that something is not right here begins to grow. For the outside world, Wanda and Vision’s microcosm soon poses a problem that the S.W.O.R.D. organization takes on.

Background & info on WandaVision

In September 2018, it was announced that Marvel Studios is developing several series that will take a closer look at supporting characters from the MCU who do not yet have their own solo films. Among said characters was Scarlet Witch, who made her first appearance in a post-credit scene in Captain America 2: The Return of the First Avenger and has since appeared in the MCU films Marvel’s The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, The First Avenger: Civil War, Avengers 3: Infinity War, as well as Avengers 4: Endgame.

In January 2019, Jac Schaeffer was hired as a scriptwriter for the series before the series was officially announced in April of the same year with the title WandaVision. Season 1 will consist of 9 episodes, with Matt Shakman taking a seat in the director’s chair. Each episode is expected to have a budget of close to $25 million.

Filming on WandaVision started in November 2019 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios and took place under the working title Big Red. On March 14, 2020, production had to be suspended due to the Corona pandemic. Filming resumed in the summer of 2020 and season 1 was completed in Los Angeles.

WandaVision season 1 will premiere on Disney+ on January 15, 2021. It is the first Marvel series of the 4th phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (MW)
