Complete Storyline and information about The Tomorrow War
A couple of time travelers come back to the present from the year 2051 and have bad news: 30 years in the future, mankind is fighting a worldwide war against aliens – and it looks as if they will be defeated by the alien species. Only if fighters and civilians from the present can be taken with them into the future could humanity’s continued existence still be assured.
Among the recruits, who are to prevent the end of the world, also Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) belongs. He is actually a teacher at a high school and father of a young daughter, but it is precisely for the youth of his time that he must do everything so that there is a tomorrow. Together with his father James (J.K. Simmons), with whom he has been at odds for a long time, and an ingenious scientist (Yvonne Strahovski), he hopes to straighten out the fate of the planet after all.
Background & Info on The Tomorrow War
Chris Pratt announced on Instagram in 2019 that The Tomorrow war was his first time supporting a film as an executive producer. At the time, however, the sci-fi actioner was called something else, and Pratt revealed that the project went through many titles before finding its final one: including serious and also less serious ones like Ghostdraft, Generation Alien, World War A, Generation Gone, Saving Private Ryaalien, Apocalypse Dawn, Hero Dawn, Destiny War and Saving Tomorrow.
Actress Seychelle Gabriel had been seen in a very similar alien invasion story before The Tomorrow War with Falling Skies, and Chris Pratt also had previous galactic experience as the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy star lord. (ES)
