Complete Storyline and information about Spiral: From the Book of Saw

New York cop Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his recruit William Schenk (Max Minghella) investigate a gruesome series of murders. An unknown and sadistic killer is perfidiously murdering their fellow police officers. The drawings of spirals left at the crime scenes are their first clue to find out the identity of the killer.

The murders are not only connected to the city’s gruesome past, but also to the notorious Jigsaw killer John Kramer. However, he has been dead for many years. An imitator now seems to take over his methods and reinterpret them for his own purposes.

Zeke, meanwhile, investigates in the shadow of his father Marcus (Samuel L. Jackson), a police veteran who also becomes involved in the investigation and thus becomes the target of the dangerous killer. But who is hiding behind the morbid pig mask and killing people in cold blood?

Background & Info on Spiral: From the Book of Saw

After a hiatus of seven years, the Saw franchise continued in 2017 under the title Jigsaw. The 9th film in the Saw series was created from an idea by Chris Rock and was directed by Saw veteran Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II through IV). The screenplay was written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, who previously wrote the screenplay for Jigsaw.

However, Spiral: From the Book of Saw is not a direct sequel to the previous 8 films. Instead, it tells a standalone story that should still fit into the canon of the Saw franchise. (MW)
