Complete plot and information about Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

In the 21st century, the Umbrella Corporation has risen to become one of the most powerful and influential corporations in the entire world. However, due to a fateful event, the deadly T-virus is exposed, turning all people who come into contact with it into savage zombies. Alice, the heroine of the story, who has her own unexplained past, must henceforth save the world from its doom.

Background & info on Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

Back in 2002, director Paul W.S. Anderson adapted Resident Evil from Capcom’s video game series of the same name. In the following years, a total of five sequels followed, in which Milla Jovovich slipped into the role of the zombie killer Alice. After Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil 5: Retribution and Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter, however, this iteration of the original material came to an end.

However, since the last part of the first film adaptations in particular generated decent box office takings worldwide, Constantin Film announced corresponding reboot plans in May 2017. In addition, there are three independent animated films that approach the Resident Evil theme in their own way: Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil: Vendetta.
