Complete Storyline and information about James Bond 007 – No Time to Die
James Bond (Daniel Craig) has left active duty and is enjoying a quiet life in Jamaica. But the peace is short-lived: his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) from the CIA comes to him to ask the retired agent for help: a mysterious villain with dangerous new technology is up to no good and must be stopped.
Bond’s specific mission is to free a kidnapped scientist. But the rescue turns out to be more difficult than expected and leads the agent together with the double-zero agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) on the trail of a mysterious masked man (Rami Malek). In the end, is even James Bond’s girlfriend Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) in on it? To answer this question, he must reluctantly turn to old acquaintances, they are on both his and the enemy’s side.
Background & Info on James Bond 007 – No Time to Die
After his appearances as the titular agent in James Bond 007 – Casino Royale (2006), James Bond 007 – Quantum of Solace (2008), James Bond 007 – Skyfall (2012) and James Bond 007 – Spectre (2015), Daniel Craig had repeatedly stressed that he wanted to retire from the role. Ultimately, however, James Bond 007 – No Time to Die became his final Bond appearance. As a 52-year-old, he was thus the third oldest Bond in the series at the time of filming, after Roger Moore (57) and Sean Connery (53).
The 25th James Bond film was the first to be shot with sequences in IMAX format, while previous films had only been partially upscaled after the fact.
After Denis Villeneuve turned down Bond 25 in favor of Dune, Danny Boyle had originally been slated to direct No Time to Die. However, he left due to disputes over the script and was replaced by Cary Fukunaga in September 2018. (ES)
