Complete Storyline and information about Indiana Jones 5

The most legendary of all adventurers returns to the big screen: Dr. Henry Jones aka Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford). After four exciting adventures (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), the archaeologist takes up his hat and whip again and sets off on a journey that takes him around the globe. In the process, he not only has to deal with unexpected encounters, but also a lot of uninvited pursuers.

Background & info on Indiana Jones 5

For a long time it was unclear whether the Indiana Jones series would be extended by a fifth part. The last franchise entry Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull divided minds in 2008. It was not until Disney bought out Lucasfilm in 2012 that a breath of fresh air came into the sequel plans, although it was to take another three years before the home of Marvel, Pixar and Co. officially gave the green light.

On March 15, 2016, Disney Chairman Alan Horn announced that Indiana Jones would hit theaters in the U.S. on July 19, 2016. Also confirmed was the return of director Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park) and lead actor Harrison Ford (Blade Runner), who shortly before had revived another of his parade roles in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens: space cowboy Han Solo. In addition, the engagement of Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall as producers of Indiana Jones 5 was announced.

Whether Shia LaBeouf as Mutt Williams, Indiana Jones’ son, will also be involved has not yet been determined at this stage of production. Further announcements regarding cast and crew are also pending. (MH)
