Complete Storyline and information about Escape Room: Tournament of Champions
Their previous Escape Room was survived only by Zoey (Taylor Russell) and Ben (Logan Miller). But even though the two young people were able to gain their freedom in the deadly environment, they’re not done with the Minos enterprise: they want to bring the company down. But before they know it, they find themselves in a new Escape Game with new participants.
It quickly turns out that the others are also survivors of their own previous Escape Room experiences. Clearly, the best of the best have been assembled for Round 2 – and the deadly traps that now await them are correspondingly more difficult and dangerous.
In the Tournament of Champions, contestants, like the pain-intolerant Rachel (Holland Roden), must use their special talents to escape puzzles tailored especially for them. But whenever they think they’ve made it, they only find themselves in the next room of their prison. Can they still trust reality or is it all a big illusion that will drive each of them to their deaths?
Background & Info on Escape Room: Tournament of Champions
Escape Room 2 is the sequel to the horror film Escape Room, with director Adam Robitel once again directing. Announced back in February 2019 shortly after the release of Part 1, the sequel was designed from the start to portray the sinister Minos organization as even larger, more influential and more dangerous than had already been hinted at in the first film.
Although Escape Room: Tournament of Champions had already been announced for an April 2020 release, the horror adventure’s launch was delayed several times in the wake of the Corona pandemic. (ES.)
