Complete Storyline and information about Don’t Breathe 2
Eight years blind Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) is now in hiding and has built a life in a lonely cabin far from civilization. Here he has recreated the family that was once stolen from him by a drunk driver: He has taken in 11-year-old orphan Phoenix (Madelyn Grace). Hardly anything breaks the calm of their life together, and so the darker side of Norman’s personality has not come out for a long time.
That changes when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl away. Now the blind man is forced to leave his safe haven to free her. But people have already underestimated him in the past because of his lack of a sense of sight. And so the kidnappers must also find out the hard way that they have messed with the wrong guy.
Background & Info on Don’t Breathe 2
A nerve-wracking suspense-horror, Don’t Breathe became a hit in 2016, and a sequel was announced that same year. This time, however, it was no longer the group of teenagers that was placed at the center of the story, but their antagonist at the time.
Stephen Lang worked in preparation with the Northeastern Association for the Blind in Albany in New York to correctly portray the mannerisms of a blind person. Filming finally took place in Belgrade, Serbia, in the summer of 2020, where there were repeated delays in the Corona pandemic.
Fede Álvarez had originally been slated to direct again, but he eventually made way for his co-writer Rodo Sayagues, with whom he had written the scripts for both films. Sayagues made his directorial debut with Don’t Breathe 2. (ES)
