Background & info on Chucky

It was first revealed in February 2018 that Don Mancini and David Kirschner were working on a sequel to the Child’s Play franchise in the form of a series. In June 2018, Chucky voice Brad Dourif also announced his return. Finally, in January 2019, it was announced that the Chucky series will debut on the US channel Syfy.

In addition to Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly will also return to the franchise and will once again appear as Chucky’s bride Tiffany Valentine. She played this role in three other films in the series after her debut in Chucky and His Bride.

Serving as showrunner for the series is Don Mancini, who helped write the screenplay for the first film, Chucky – The Murder Doll, and subsequently wrote all the scripts for the other six film sequels, some of which he also directed. Mancini, David Kirschner as well as Nick Antosca are involved in the project as executive producers.
