Complete plot and information about A Quiet Place 2
After the events of A Quiet Place, things don’t stay quiet for long, because even though a method has been found to counter the threat, the fight for survival is far from over. The Abbott family must now face the threats of the outside world … and for it the sphere of action of their past farm home leave.
When Evelyn (Emily Blunt) with daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds), son Marcus (Noah Jupe) and the newborn baby take the first steps beyond the sandy path, they must quickly realize, however, that the creatures hunting every sound are not the only danger that awaits them. They meet other survivors (Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou) and at the same time reflect back to the time when the horror of the monsters began.
Background & Info on A Quiet Place 2
The horror film A Quiet Place turned into a surprise hit in its 2018 release year: with a production budget of $17 million, the scary flick grossed more than $340 million worldwide. As a result, John Krasinski, director and lead actor from Part 1 as well as husband of Emily Blunt, began to think about how his fictional universe could continue to grow. That same year, he began writing the sequel.
Originally, Paramount considered hiring another filmmaker for the sequel, A Quiet Place 2, but according to Krasinski, all other screenwriters and directors were considered “too franchise-oriented” by the studio with their ideas, so he returned to the sequel director’s chair himself.
Initially, Brian Tyree Henry was cast in a new role in A Quiet Place 2, but was later replaced by Djimon Hounsou after scheduling difficulties. (ES)
